In case 90 I'm joined by Ms. Alison Helmetsie of Ithaca, NY USA and Mr. Gary Dykes of Athens, GA USA. Alison is an outpatient orthopedic therapist who presents a case of a 59 year-old female with the complaint of left shoulder pain. Her medical diagnosis was biceps tendinitis. I facilitate a discussion between Alison and Gary, a seasoned MDT clinician and senior faculty, regarding the treatment of this extremity patient who possibly has a spinal component, and why it is so important to remain methodical. They go into detail as to how to keep the patient engaged and compliant with the "new way" of diagnosing and treating extremities by clearing the spine and the use of functional and mechanical baselines.
