In case #81, we’re joined by Mr. Colin Davies one of the founding members of the McKenzie Institute faculty and who became a clinical associate of Robin McKenzie after graduating in 1971. He presents a 28 year old female from a Part C course in Canada with a chief complaint of R hip pain. This case offers clinical pearls especially if you only have 1-2 visits to assess your patient. Colin provides insights on how to differentiate L-spine from extremity with accompanying checklists and a rundown of the initial examination through one follow-up visit the next day. You will gain insight into his thought processes based on an "almost normal" physical exam and limited functional/concordant testing in order to differentiate L-spine or hip derangement, dysfunction and mechanically inconclusive.
