Case 65 - Charlotte Krog & Steen Olsen

Case 65 - Charlotte Krog & Steen Olsen
In case 65 I'm joined by two experts, Steen Olsen and Charlotte Krog both of Copenhagen, Denmark. Charlotte and Steen present a 30 year old male who presented with right lower thoracic and low back pain. The patient exhibited some common psychosocial challenges and displayed views and attitudes which prohibited a positive outcome until Steen and Charlotte addressed negative thoughts with psychological coaching approaches well supported in the research. Charlotte and Steen offer over an hour of insights including:
what might trigger the clinician that the patient’s beliefs and attitudes are a greater limiter than the mechanics
what shared decision making really means and how it plays into a successful outcome
the key elements to measure for a complete outcome data set, and
some considerations of having staff administer outcomes versus the clinician herself
