Session 032201 with Mark Cheel
Session 032201 with Mark Cheel
In Session 032201-3 we’re joined by Mark Cheel from Geelong, Australia. Mark works in an emergency department triaging patients to the appropriate care pathway as well as teaching MDT for the Mckenzie Insitute Australia. Mark shares a series of three cases this month. The first is a 44 year old female with a 10 week history of backend leg pain and a positive MRI for disc sequestration. Mark walks us through his history taking, his clinical reasoning of which classifications are most reasonable. He offers the narrowing of probable subgroups and how he went about differentiating between derangement versus mechanically unresponsive radicular syndrome. He includes several research papers to support his thought process and which are relevant to this patients presentation. This case offers high level clinical differential diagnosis and bits on management and education are all addressed by this veteran expert.
